2013 Honor Flight Season

April begins the new 2013 Honor Flight Season where WWII Veterans are flown for free to Washington, DC just for the day to visit and reflect at their memorial.

How can you be a part of such a special event and give your personal thanks to a veteran?

Honor Flights arrive at BWI, Reagan and Dulles airports from April to early November. Come out to the airport and/or the WWII Memorial with your family, church, youth group, class, school, Scout Pack or Troops to greet and thank our country’s Greatest Generation for all of their sacrifices in preserving freedom. This is an experience you will never forget. Many feel they have been forgotten, and so the veterans are most appreciative for the thanks they receive. Please consider volunteering by either greeting, or writing thank you letters for Mail Call and/or make a donation to a regional Honor Flight.

For flight schedules, go to www.heroeswelcome.org (Dulles Volunteer site) and www.honorflight.org.
