VDOT has asked that I share the following information regarding snow removal in our area:

VDOT is experiencing intermittent phone problems (due to high volume) but wanted to make sure that you were informed of the following information:

– Use caution on high volume roads while crews continue clean up on the right-hand lanes as well as ramps and shoulders.
– In subdivisions crews will plow streets and sand hills, curves and intersections to provide traction.
– Neighborhood roads will have at least an eight-to-ten foot path but will not be cleared curb-to-curb and will not be to bare pavement.
– Unfortunately, driveways and mailboxes will be impacted due to the volume of snow.
– Residents can enter their address at www.vdotplows.org to see the status of plowing in their neighborhood and watch trucks on plow routes.
– If roads have not had a plow pass by 6 p.m., please report missed streets online or to 1-800-367-ROAD(7623).

Of course, please do not hesitate to contact me either by calling the office at 703.815.1201 or delthugo@house.virginia.gov.
