Tonight I participated in a tele-town hall with my colleagues Delegates Randy Minchew, Steve Landes, Todd Gilbert, Mark Berg, Tag Greason, Barbara Comstock, Dave LaRock, Dave Albo, Jim LeMunyon, and David Ramadan. We had thousands of Virginians from Fairfax to Winchester, and the consensus was: we need to pass a clean budget.

Throughout the call we asked poll questions. The results are below:

1. Do you support or oppose the expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare?

Oppose – 88%
Support – 12%

2. Do you think it’s right or wrong to use the budget and threat of a government shutdown in order to expand Obamacare?

Oppose holding the budget hostage – 94%
Support holding the budget hostage – 6%

3. Have you or has anyone you know had a personal negative experience with Obamacare? Whether it’s through the website, higher premiums, a cancelled health care plan or trouble getting a doctor?

Problem with Obamacare – 67%
No problem with Obamacare – 33%

Tell the Governor and the Senate Democrats it’s time to pass a clean budget –
