This weekend, Friday, October 10th through Monday, October 13th, Virginia will be holding its 8th Energy Star and WaterSense Sales Tax Holiday.

If you need to replace any of your old household appliances, this ‘tax holiday’ weekend is a great opportunity to save money now and in the future.

Qualifying products must be priced at or under $2,500 and certain used Energy Star and WaterSense products will also qualify for the tax exemptions. Online orders also fall under the holiday, as long as they are purchased within the time limits, and manufacturers have the items available for immediate shipping.

I hope that you will take advantage of this great yearly event. Products that are tax exempt this weekend include light bulbs, air conditioners, ceiling fans, washing machines, dishwashers, dehumidifiers, and refrigerators.

The Virginia Department of Taxation has an informative webpage about the holiday. Should you have any questions, you can visit the page at 1.usa.gov/1v5aWtY
